NEC piece and Retro..... here we go!

Finally finished my Fashion, Embroidery and Stitch piece. I would say its taken me 30 hours to complete.

Weybourne Beach in Norfolk!
How was it made..... Watercolour painting on calico, with bondaweb to add texture. Hand stitched with silks and cottons. Seed stitch, french knots (Thousands!), Satin stitch and padded fabrics (Hand painted or dyed). Then stretched onto a wooden frame... Thank you hubby!

Now to get making for events. The pressure is on as my first event is a week on Friday at Milton Keynes.

So I said I was going to try something different and you know I love a bit of colour!!

Carried on the bird theme as I love it so much!

More to come.... Just need to sweet talk my hubby into making a few more frames for some pictures. Must go more to do and little time to do it in!

My New Kit.... Watch the birdy!

Iv spent the last couple of days designing, making experimenting and finally today actually got a new kit together. Something unusual and with a modern twist. Before Christmas I was inundated with questions about Needle Felting.... Thank you Kirstie Allsopp! So here we are, fresh off the press (My desk!), the first Bird Brooch Needle Felting Kit!

Tad-dar!
This kit is to make the blue birdie, which is below and there are two more colourways.... maybe another colourway if they sell well.

With the kit you get three brooch backs and beads for the eyes. You can at least make two to three birds with the kit. I'm going to be making more of the birdies for the stall as I think there so cute!

Blog giveaway time!!!

So to celebrate my new needle felting kit, I thought this would be the ideal moment for a Blog giveaway! This very first kit could be yours!

Hello new ideas!!

Iv had a grand sort out over the last few days. Mainly to clear my head from a bout of flu and the other to make way for this years events, which start in three weeks!  As you can see on the right I have booked my year up already with events and workshops. So know is the time to get on with it and get creating!
I havent been idiol though.... Iv been catching up with college portfolios and Iv started my NEC piece for the Fashion, Stitch and Embroidery Exhibition in March. Also, iv been sketching ideas down and packing away my winter stock for the Spring / Summer (Ever hopeful!) range. A few of the old favorites will remain, but I feel a change on the horizon and I need to go with the times.
New kits... A big revamp happening here! One flat felting kit and a needle felting kit. Im also looking at home accessories with a retro / abstract feel too.
My first event is Milton Keynes, which is a new venue for me and so just right for new launches. Watch this space!
